You ever shot a gun before?
my favorite thing about this scene is how, even though it was pretty much a given that Nancy would be able to nail the shot first time around, Jonathan rolls with it and couldn’t be more happy. It’s his gun, but you never see him holding it again, because after it’s established that Nancy is the better shooter, he turns it over to her. None of that “I’m the guy and I should have the gun” or being angry or bitter that she outshot him.
same! and the third gif, with nancy turning her face, tells everything. she turns to look at him, unsure, uncertain about his reaction. after the shoot, at first she smiles, proud of herself (gif#1) –but‘boys being boys’, she expects a frown from him, a laugh or even a mockery from the ‘alpha-male’. so, in the third gif her smile turns down just a little, ready to apologize or to say it is just luck. but then she sees his smile, the awe on his face, and her own smile just widens once again. they are just so supportive of each other :)
