Not sure if cool or terrifying…

If CGI characters went to Hogwarts.

Dear Lord, the notes

Merida will be the typical Gryffindor, getting into troubles and hates Jack at first until she realizes that not all Slytherins are bad and not all Gryffindors are good. (Maybe she sees him being bullied by one of the Gryffindors idk) She likes hanging out with Rapunzel because she always help her with homeworks and preparing for adventures in Forbidden Forest.

Rapunzel is a pureblood Ravenclaw who once got kidnapped resulting in her parents reluctance in sending her to Hogwarts. But her thirst for knowledge and desire for friends convince them to let her go. She’s considered weird by the other Ravenclaws for being excited over the smallest things. Close to Merida and one time they argue about Jack being evil or not.

Hiccup’s father is a muggle but knows a thing or two about Wizarding World since his wife was a witch. The Hat immediately sorts him into the Hufflepuff and he feels his dad is going to be disappointed for not being in the “Hero House”. He becomes best friend with Jack fast, although he was a bit afraid of him at first.

Jack is an orphan muggleborn who got adopted by an old powerful wizard named Nicholas North Frost. He lived on the streets at first, making his wits and cunning much sharper than your average kids. When he heard one of his Housemates called his dad a “Traitorous Pig” for not supporting pureblood supremacy, he snaps and accidentally reveals himself as a muggleborn.

And then they became the first inter-house group study ever.

Woah, I fucking love this. If I were a good writer I would totally make it into a fanfiction

Bringing this back, alright?

((I agree with most of this. I think Hiccup belongs in Ravenclaw more, tbh.))

I need to watch two of the movies related to this, but so far, this gives me the squeeeeeeeeeeeeeees

I’m not usually into Hogwarts AUs but I wanna draw this

These house placements are all so absolutely perfect—yes, even with Hiccup in Hufflepuff rather than Ravenclaw. Let’s just take a look:

THE TRAITS OF THE HOUSES ARE:

Gryffindor:

  • Courageous/brave (lol)
  • Daring
  • Chivalrous

Ravenclaw:

  • Studious, with a passion for learning
  • Quick wit and wisdom
  • Rational and logical

Hufflepuff:

  • Steadfast and patient
  • Hardworking
  • Loyal

Slytherin:

  • Ambitious
  • Clever and cunning
  • Resourceful

So, those are the bare essentials of what make up the four Houses. To compare those to the characters listed above …

Merida is obviously blatantly courageous and daring. She constantly seeks out new adventures and thrills, and her thirst for adventure often leads her to being impulsive and rash (a trait commonly seen in Gryffindors as well). Nevertheless, she never means any harm to anyone and always tries to protect those around her. She might be mischievous and headstrong, but her chivalry tempers her daring.

Rapunzel, having spent most of her life locked in a tower, is incredibly studious. Being a Ravenclaw doesn’t just mean you’re smart; it means that you have a thirst for knowledge, which Rapunzel clearly does. After all, why did she want to leave the tower? To see the lights. Specifically, to learn about the lights and their significance. Rapunzel is all about new experiences and learning, and her quick wit saved both her and Flynn on numerous occasions. Ravenclaw is certainly a nice fit for her.

Hiccup is smart. I believe this is why someone above suggested Ravenclaw would be a better fit for him. After all, not only does he know a lot, but he’s resourceful and can put things together quickly, too. But all the same, I urge people to remember that there are studious, brilliant students in other Houses, too—look at Hermione Granger. She is quite literally the brightest witch of her age, yet she ended up in Gryffindor. Hiccup is very smart, yes, but that doesn’t make him a shoo-in for Ravenclaw.

Nah, Hufflepuff is a better fit.

Hiccup is smart, but he is also determined and patient. Once he sets his mind to a task, he doesn’t move from it, instead seeing it through to the end (see: training Toothless despite the fact that Toothless was a wild Night Fury, or opening the Dragon Academy, etc.). Yes, he can be a sarcastic deadpan snarker but that doesn’t change the fact that he gets stuff done once he sets his mind to any given task. He is also incredibly loyal; look at the way he’ll throw himself in danger to try and protect Toothless, or the way he’ll throw a race for Snotlout just because Snotlout is (kind of) his friend. Hiccup doesn’t abandon those he cares about, or throw them to the wolves; Hell, he sticks by those he doesn’t even like very much (see again: Snotlout) just out of a sense of loyalty and camaraderie.

Lastly, Hiccup is extremely hardworking. Look at how he kept trying to fight dragons in the beginning because he wanted to be useful. Look at how he made the weapons even when he couldn’t. Look at all of the effort he put into training Toothless when he didn’t have to, or how much he works at the Dragon Academy and to make life better for the dragons on Berk. Hiccup doesn’t slack off. He’s constantly finding new work to do.

So yeah, Hufflepuff is absolutely perfect for him, to be quite honest. And that brings us to …

Jack Frost, in Slytherin. This one is as easy as cake. Jack is ambitious—we see this in the way that he only agrees to officially join the Guardians’ task when he hears that his memories are at stake. His memories are something that he wants, thus putting something in the deal for him, thus he is interested (not that he didn’t care about kids, but as far as he was concerned up until that point, he could watch out for kids on his own, without needing to join the Guardians). He’s cunning and clever, always sharp of wit and tongue when trading barbs with Bunnymund, and also the only Guardian that can go toe-to-toe with and pose a real threat to Pitch (beyond Sandy, but Sandy is a special case). He’s resourceful, too, able to think of a new solution on the spot even when Pitch had them backed into a corner. Yeah, he’s definitely a Slytherin, and that’s probably why Pitch felt that he could tempt Jack to his side—because once upon a time, Pitch was a muggle-born Slytherin, too.

Astrid, I feel, would also be in Slytherin, because she has always been highly ambitious and competitive from the start. The fact that his best friend and girlfriend happened to be in Slytherin would probably earn Hiccup a bit of a reputation, but I highly doubt he would care. After all, his friends are his friends. His best subject would also be Care of Magical Creatures, obvs.

I think Toothiana would be a Ravenclaw, and Eugene/Flynn Rider a Slytherin. Merida’s little brothers, meanwhile, would follow in her footsteps and be Gryffindors.

And okay, I’ll stop now.
